Hero Ingredients:

Kakadu Plum Extract - known to have some of the highest Vitamin C content of any fruit, it is high in antioxidants to help protect against free radical damage caused by the sun, pollution and environmental toxins.

Vitamin E - one of the most popular ingredients in skincare, used for its antioxidant properties for the body and skin.

Aloe Vera - not only acts as an emollient, but contains antioxidants which can help repair sun damage. Rich in Vitamins A, C, E and B12, its anti-inflammatory properties can reduce swelling and skin irritation.

Active Ingredients: Homosalate 100 mg/g, Octocrylene 80 mg/g, Octyl Salicylate 50mg/g, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane 40mg/g.

Usage Instructions

Use Kakadu Plum SPF 50+ liberally on dry skin and cover exposed area/s 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours or more often when sweating, and after swimming or towelling. For external use only. Keep out of your eyes. Do not use on damaged or diseased skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Avoid prolonged exposure. It is important to wear protective clothing such as long sleeves, hats and protective eyewear when exposed to the sun. Store below 30˚C.

Is the use of Kakadu Plum ethical?

The Kakadu Plum extract used in our Kakadu Plum SPF is sourced from Kakadu National Park. The collection of Kakadu Plum is permissible under a Territory Parks and Wildlife Permit which has several terms and conditions in place to ensure the sustainable collection of the fruit.

The Kakadu Plum extract used in our Kakadu Plum Body Milk and Sensitive Body Milk are ethically sourced from the Lombadina Aboriginal Corporation.

All product received from our suppliers is traceable to the site it was picked, via the permit system and individual batches. Our suppliers are members of the Union for Ethical BioTrade meaning they are committed to sourcing with respect for people and biodiversity.

What makes Kakadu Plum SPF50+ different from your other sunscreen formulas?

Our Kakadu Plum Sunscreen SPF 50+ formula uses a combination of chemical (organic) filters that work in unison together to block the broad spectrum of UV light (UVA + UVB rays). It is designed to feel like a moisturiser with added nourishing ingredients such as Aloe Vera and Vitamin E.

It is the same Broad Spectrum SPF50+ formula you know and love in our Signature, Coconut, Wild Rosella and Tropical ranges - with an antioxidant boost from Kakadu Plum Extract. Plus, you’ll love it’s refreshing floral scent!

Can the use of antioxidants really maximise SPF protection?

An SPF 50 sunscreen will block up to 98% of UVB rays. The addition of antioxidants to a broad spectrum sunscreen can help neutralise free radical damage caused by UVA and UVB rays (aka, that 2% of residual UV light not covered), helping to prevent skin cancers and keeping skin firm and youthful.

But that’s not all they can do! Antioxidants are often multi-functional; they provide the skin with hydration and increase moisture retention, help brighten skin tone and strengthen the skin barrier, improving overall skin health. Some antioxidants are also known to have skin-calming or anti-inflammatory properties, helping to soothe sensitive skin and alleviate symptoms of eczema and rosacea.

    Great stuff

    I bought a bundle of the company products after using this Kakadu Plum sunscreen on holiday recently. What I like about it best is that it feels more like a moisturiser than normal sunscreen. Not too greasy and feels natural. I will review the coconut one after I use it.
